Girls Basketball Lose In PIAA First Round To Penn Cambria

The girls varsity basketball team fell behind 18-3 in the first half and couldn’t overcome the deficit in their loss to District 6 champion, Penn Cambria, in the PIAA first round at Mount Aloysius College on Saturday.
The Golden Rams continued to fight and battle, cutting the deficit to as low as three points in the second half, but couldn’t overcome the deficit all the way.
Katelyn Myers led the offense with 16 points. Kalleigh Nerone had 13 points.
Congratulations to the Golden Rams for making history this year by becoming the first team in program history to make it to the WPIAL semifinals and PIAA tournament.
