Varsity Softball Cruises to Section Opening Win

Varsity softball picked up its first win of the season in its section opener against Woodland Hills.
The Golden Rams scored eight runs in the first two innings each and freshman Alexis Arms pitched three no-hit innings for the win.
Carrah Scardina went 2-for-2 with a single, RBI double, walk and two runs scored.
Also recording two hits was Peyton Smalley with two singles. She also reached base via a hit by pitch, had an RBI and scored two runs.
Jocelyn Scardina had a double, two walks, an RBI, stolen base and three runs scored
Jocelyn Celko had a double, two RBIs, a walk, stolen base and two runs scored.
Abbie Deiseroth had a double, RBI, two walks and two runs scored.
Maddie Gorney had a triple, RBI and two runs scored.
Kassidy Cambal had a single, hit by pitch and scored a run.
Bailey Megats also had a hit and Nahia Megats and Ava Bollinger scored a run each.
The Golden Rams improved to 1-4 overall and 1-0 in the section.
They will host McKeesport in another section game on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
