Varsity Softball Improves To 2-0 In Section Play

The varsity softball team won its second straight section game with a 5-3 win against McKeesport on Wednesday.
The Golden Rams scored three runs in the first inning and never trailed.
In the first, Jocelyn Celko had an RBI single and both her and Bailey Megats came around to score on wild pitches.
In the game, Celko had two singles, an RBI, stolen base, and two runs scored.
In the third, Maddie Gorney had an RBI triple and came around to score on an RBI single by Carrah Scardina.
Gorney picked up the win in the circle, pitching a complete game and striking out seven.
The Golden Rams improve to 2-4 overall and 2-9 in the section.
They will travel to Knoch next Wednesday for another section game at 4 p.m.
